About the Ford Escape Hybrid

Even when equipped with the optional Intelligent AWD system, you’ll experience up to 40 MPG combined fuel economy**. The ergonomic interior lets you stay connected to your drive thanks to a collection of cutting-edge tech features such as a 12.3-inch configurable LCD digital instrument cluster. Drivers can customize their drive experience by using a total of four individual EV modes to prioritize power or range on the way to their destination. The eye-catching exterior design of the Ford Escape Hybrid proves that you no longer have to make sacrifices on style when you drive a fuel-efficient SUV.

What the Critics Say

“The Escape Hybrid is fun to drive thanks to agile handling that’s light, which makes this compact SUV easy to place on the road. Its sensible proportions – despite being wider and longer – also mean it’s not a pain to park.” — Cars.com

“Fuel economy is the strongest factor here; most buyers won't miss the slight difference in driving experience compared to the turbocharged models, but every driver will notice the significant efficiency gains and improved driving range. There isn't much of a trade-off, with Ford executing the brake feel (sometimes a struggle with hybrids) and powertrain response well.” — MotorTrend

What’s New for 2024

The changes to the Escape Hybrid 2023 have been significant. Most noticeable is a totally redesigned front end, and most of the wheel options are new as well. The trim levels have been reworked, with the Plug-In Hybrid now being a stand-alone trim. The 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is still available as an option, but the standard gauge cluster is now digital as well, in 8-inch form. And on the subject of screens, the SYNC 3 system has been replaced with a SYNC 4 system, which brings with it a bigger screen. The standard is now an 8-inch unit, but as an option, there is a 13.2-inch touchscreen.
