Featuring the smarts to back up its strength, groundbreaking tech features are found throughout the interior of the Ford Expedition. As the miles fly past your windshield, SYNC® 4 with both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration helps you stay connected. No matter what type of driver you are, even the best of the best can use some assistance every now and then. That’s the exact reason why the Expedition is available with the groundbreaking Ford Co-Pilot360 collection of advanced safety technologies. No matter if you’ve got a big family or a big craving for adventure, look no further than the dynamic Ford Expedition.

What the Critics Say

"Yes, the Ford Expedition is a very good large SUV, and its performance score is among the best in the class. This Ford’s twin-turbo V6 engine has ample muscle and more than holds its own against rivals’ V8 engines. The Expedition also has composed handling for a vehicle of its size." - U.S. News & World Report

"The same goes for its ride and handling—with its aluminum body reducing weight, you don't really feel like you're driving something that huge. Our Expedition XLT test vehicle felt planted even when driven on tight corners, with the steering feeling precisely balanced while delivering the right amount of feedback." - MotorTrend

What’s New for 2024

Only a handful of small changes have been made to the 2024 Ford Expedition. New this year is an optional Excursion Package that includes interior floor liners, the Continuous Controlled Damping (CCD) system with Suspension Road Preview, an electronic limited-slip differential with 3.73 gearing, and ControlTrac with eLSD. In addition, a new Wild Green exterior color is now offered on select 2024 Expedition trims as a no-cost option. With an all-new model expected to arrive as soon as next year, this could be the final year for this generation of the Ford Expedition.

Ford Expedition Features

Commanding Performance

Adhering to the exacting standards of Built Ford Tough, the Expedition is engineered with a robust fully-boxed frame, powerful engine, and available 4X4 system to help you conquer any obstacle standing in your way. Beneath the hood lies a standard 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6 engine paired to a 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission for the ultimate combination of sheer power and responsiveness. Helping you excel across all types of terrain, the available 4-wheel drive (4WD) system offers 7 distinct drive modes to help you tread where other full-size SUVs fear to venture. In fact, the Expedition continues to deliver an impressive 9,300-lb maximum towing capacity thanks to its optional Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package as well as AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™.

Ford Expedition Interior

Luxurious Interior

No other full-size SUV combines luxurious comfort with outstanding versatility quite like the Ford Expedition. In addition to three-row seating for up to 8 passengers, the second and third row of seats can be folded flat to create a cavernous 104.6 cubic feet of cargo space. With all seats upright, you’ll have best-in-class second and third-row legroom inside the Expedition that totals over 40 inches. An available cargo management system featuring an adjustable shelf lets you keep your gear safe, secure, and organized on the way to your destination. For a truly unparalleled listening experience, choose the optional Bang & Olufsen® Sound System that includes 12 high-performance speakers, 4 midwoofers, and a subwoofer. Other upscale features available inside the Ford Expedition include a panoramic Vista Roof® and customizable ambient interior lighting.

Ford Expedition Technology

Innovative Technology

Since staying in touch with your family and friends is always important on an extended road trip, the Ford Expedition is available with an assortment of state-of-the-art connectivity features. Right from the driver’s seat, the available SYNC® 4 lets you access key functions, make calls, and much more using only the sound of your voice. Use your favorite apps right on the touchscreen display using standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. Also included as standard, four smart-charging USB ports help keep your devices charged up for the adventure. Eliminate the clutter of charging cables with the available wireless charging pad positioned conveniently in the center console. Second-row passengers can stay engaged for miles and miles using an available dual-headrest rear-seat entertainment system with a screen mounted behind each front seat. This system has the ability to watch TV, play video games, or stream video from a compatible device.

Ford Expedition Safety

Groundbreaking Safety

Similar to its outstanding connectivity features, the Ford Expedition also sets the benchmark for driver-assistive safety technology. Designed to help keep you protected from the unexpected, the Expedition includes Ford Co-Pilot360™-- a dynamic suite of active safety features that act as an extra layer of reassurance when you need them most. Great for squeezing in or out of a tight parking space, the reverse sensing system and rearview camera with backup assist gridlines help you maneuver the Expedition with total confidence. Similarly, the exclusive Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ function takes the guesswork out of hitching up to your trailer by using predictive guidance features. Especially important in a crowded area such as a parking lot, Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection is able to prevent an accident before it occurs. The available Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) acts as an extra set of eyes when changing lanes on the highway, alerting you to any potential vehicles that have entered your blind spot. Another Expedition-first feature is the innovative Ford BlueCruise system – a groundbreaking hands-free driving experience offered on Platinum grades.
