About the Ford F-150

Firmly establishing its reputation as the hardest-working pickup in the United States, the Ford F-150 has continued to be America’s best-selling truck for over 40 years. Setting the benchmark which other light-duty full-size truck makers try to imitate, the F-150 is engineered with a lightweight, high-strength military-grade, aluminum-alloy body and bed. In fact, it features the same high-grade 6000 series aluminum that’s used in the most extreme industrial and military applications. You’ll be able to work both smarter and harder when you drive an F-150. Available convenience features include a remote tailgate release, deployable box side steps, and a configurable BoxLink™ system. A comprehensive lineup of six engine choices allow you to opt for efficiency, muscle, or even a blend of both. No matter if you select the work-ready XL and XLT, performance-focused Raptor, or the luxurious King Ranch® — you’ll have the opportunity to write your own chapter in the storied legacy of the Ford F-150.

What the Critics Say

“Yes, the Ford F-150 is a great truck. It gets plenty of power from all six of its available engines, with the turbocharged engines turning it into a monster that can tow and haul more than any other truck in the class. The F-150 rides smoothly and offers several helpful bed features as well. The interior is roomy and comfortable and offers lots of user-friendly technology.” — U.S. News & World Report

“The 2019 Ford F-150, our Pickup Truck Best Buy for the fifth year in a row, continues to offer the features and the capability that truck buyers need, while providing the creature comforts and modern-day tech that daily drivers want. What were once outrageous ideas – namely, using military-grade aluminum in the truck body and smaller turbocharged engines – have shifted thinking in the truck world, and other pickup-truck manufacturers are following suit.” — Kelley Blue Book

What’s New for 2019

Never content with its success, the Ford F-150 continues to build on its legacy with several key updates and revisions for 2019. In terms of performance, the F-150 is now offered for the first time with the legendary Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel V6. Limited and Raptor variants now come standard with the high-output 3.5L EcoBoost V6 in addition to a massive 36-gallon fuel tank. Forward Collision Warning and Emergency Braking are now standard on every F-150. FordPass Connect replaces the CD player on F-150 XLT trims. Finally, new exterior color choices for 2019 include Silver Spruce, Abyss Gray, and Agate Black.

Ford F-150 Features

Ford F-150 Performance

Legendary Performance

Every F-150 engine has been upgraded, improved, re-engineered, or launched as all-new within the past year to give truck shoppers the most comprehensive engine lineup in the segment. Regardless of which engine you choose, each one comes standard with Auto Start-Stop Technology to help you achieve maximum fuel efficiency. You can select from a standard 6-speed automatic with the 3.3L or step up to the class-exclusive Ford-built 10-speed automatic on all other engines.

The 3.0L Power Stroke® diesel has the honor of being the first-ever diesel found on the Ford F-150, giving you access to 440 lb-ft of diesel torque and 250 diesel horsepower. If fuel economy is a priority, the 2.7L EcoBoost® turbocharged six-cylinder is able to achieve up to 26 MPG on the highway**. Rigorously tested and proven, the iconic 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 engine offers a total 395 horsepower to help you accomplish the toughest tasks. When you select the 3.5L EcoBoost® engine and Max Trailer Tow Package, you’ll enjoy standard trailer sway control, BLIS® with trailer coverage, and a 13,200-pound maximum towing capacity.

Ford F-150 Convenience

Work Smarter, Not Harder

Since it involves navigating two vehicles at the same time when backing up to your trailer, optional Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ takes the hassle out of the process with the turn of a knob. Keep your gear secure and dry inside the cab on SuperCab and SuperCrew® models thanks to a fully-flat rear load floor and under-seat storage compartments. Optional deployable box side steps give you quick access to your cargo inside the bed. Work at night and easily see under a tonneau cover with LED box lighting. Lock, unlock, and lower the tailgate – all with your key fob and an available remote tailgate release. An available 8-inch LCD productivity screen lets you quickly glance at important information ranging from towing data to fuel economy, positioned right in front of you on the instrument cluster.

Ford F-150 Interior
