Drivers can choose from three distinctive engine options which offer a combination of power and efficiency to suit any type of driving style. Available Intelligent 4WD gives you the confidence to excel across all types of weather conditions and terrain. For even greater efficiency, optional Auto Start-Stop Technology lets you spend less time filling up at the gas station and more time making memories.

What the Critics Say

“Solid, sophisticated, and athletic, the fun-to-drive Ford Escape delivers agile handling and a taut, yet supple ride. Its cabin is one of the quietest in the class. Overall, this small SUV feels more substantial than most of the competition.” — Consumer Reports

“The Escape still looks firm, taut, even nubile if you line it up against something as dowdy as a Subaru Crosstrek. It doesn’t toe the blocky-SUV line at all-a big turnaround from the first-generation Escape and its mini-Explorer shape. Today’s model is handsome and pert, six years into its lifespan, and a new front end applied last year only made it better-looking.” — The Car Connection

What’s New for 2019

Shoppers will notice numerous updates to the Ford Escape for the 2019 model year. Last year’s paddle shifters, CD player, and LED taillights have been eliminated from the model lineup. SEL grades receive a new fabric upholstery design. Intelligent Access with push-button start, one-touch up/down power windows, and remote start are now standard on all SE and SEL trims. In addition, SYNC Connect has been renamed FordPass Connect.
